Ballet Ariel

The Place for History, Diversity and Contemporary Ballet.

Ballet Ariel Company was founded by director Ilena Norton in 1998 in Denver, Colorado. Ballet Ariel specializes in the development of original choreography by classically trained choreographers. Ballet Ariel also emphasizes diversity among performers and dance programs.

Opened in 2001, the Ballet Ariel School offers excellence in classical ballet training. Their students have received scholarships to American Ballet Theatre and Boston Ballet's competitive summer intensives. The school is located at 1930 S. Broadway St. near the intersection of Broadway and Evans, and is walking distance to the light rail.

Ballet Ariel's performance season includes the annual Nutcracker and spring choreographer's showcase at the Cleo Parker Robinson Theatre in Denver. For its third season, Ballet Ariel is offering free performances at the Denver Art Museum during Denver Arts Week. Reviewer Donald K. Atwood, MFA, Ph.D. at worlddancereviews.com reported "watch for Ballet Ariel's next concert. If you go you will be treated to an amazing array of dance, and Ballet Ariel's love of dance forms, especially of ballet, is most apparent in the works they present".
