One of just a few professional ensembles of its kind in the world, The Denver Brass, a 14-part chamber brass, features a sound experience that is simultaneously inspiring and exhilarating, powerful and elegant, and of diverse and dynamic musical styles. Repertoire is composed or arranged specifically for the ensemble, and includes everything from Baroque and Renaissance masterpieces to jazz, film scores, Celtic works for bagpipes and brass, music for brass and pans, Latin brass, and brilliant new works featuring a unique Denver Brass sound.The ensemble's success is directly linked to its universal appeal and finely crafted presentations. Denver Brass has been acclaimed as "More than a Concert" with "Goose Bumps Guaranteed." Well-developed and inspiring concert themes, exquisite lighting design and staging, seamless flow, and inclusion of guest artists of a wide variety of genre from bagpipes to pans and dancers of every ethnicity every concert is a feast for the heart, mind, and soul. The Denver Brass, recipient of the 2008 Mayor's Award for Excellence in the Arts, presents between 175 and 200 concerts and is heard by more than 70,000 people annually.
