Held in such high esteem as one of the most profound of all choral works, Maestro Krueger has felt that performing the Maurice Duruflé Requiem requires a level of artistic maturity and depth of human experience that he was not confident of possessing. Therefore, for the first time in its history, St. Martin’s Chamber Choir performs this haunting and mystical work in the wake of the traumatic and difficult events of the last year, along with a handful of complementary shorter works.
