The Colorado Hebrew Chorale’s monthly series, L’Chaim! A Taste of Jewish Music from – Anywhere continues on Monday, Jan. 25, 7:30pm on Zoom with the focus on Sighet, birthplace of Elie Wiesel. Cantor Deborah Katchko-Gray will present Elie Wiesel, Songs and Stories in recognition of International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Cantor Katchko-Gray, currently at Congregation Shir Shalom in Ridgefield, CT was a student of Elie Wiesel at Boston University. she is a fourth generation cantor and the second to serve a conservative synagogue.  She founded the Women Cantors’ Network in l982, a national organization of 300 members. Her archives are housed in the National Museum of American Jewish History and at the American Jewish Archives. She is is the first recipient of the Debbie Friedman Miriam Award given at the Miriam’s Table Annual Women’s Seder event in April 2020.

L’Chaim! offerings are free and open to the public, but registration is required so that participants can receive the Zoom link, song sheets, and recipes.
