To celebrate their 10th Anniversary season, Boulder’s Seicento Baroque Ensemble will perform three concerts- April 22-24. The program will showcase J.S. Bach’s glorious Magnificat in Eb (the rarely performed original version of his beloved Magnificat in D) in a celebratory concert of Magnificat settings from the Baroque era. The program will open with a delightful setting once attributed to Buxtehude, followed by a truly beautiful setting by Charpentier. These three regal and joyful pieces feature the chamber choir, with vocal soloists and a baroque orchestra of strings, three baroque trumpets, baroque oboes, baroque recorders, organ, and timpani.

Bringing back the full Siecento choir for the first time since 2019, audiences will be treated to a full panoply of baroque sound, in gratitude for all their support during the trials of the pandemic!
