“Spring” Colorado Concert Film

Usher in the Spring on J.S. Bach’s birthday with Boulder Bach Festival’s “Spring” Colorado Concert Film, featuring the music of Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven, and hear one of Colorado’s most treasured historical pianos, an original Erard concert grand from Paris in the 1840’s.
Mina Gajic performs Mozart’s much-loved Piano Concerto K. 414 in A Major in the composer’s own intimate scoring for piano and string quartet.
Mina is then joined by violinist Zachary Carrettin in Beethoven’s Sonata Op. 12 No. 1 in D Major, conjuring the original context of the work—music for friends and family in the salon.
All the BBF’s 2020-2021 Colorado Concert Films begin with a prelude by J.S. Bach performed outdoors, in the natural beauty of Colorado. This prelude takes place at Sunrise Amphitheater in Boulder’s open space, with several of our region’s cities in full view from above.
