Liberation: From the Reformation to Haydn’s “La Reine” with St. Martin’s Chamber Choir

To commemorate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation PMC presents Bach’s cantata A Mighty Fortress is our God, marking a liberation of the human spirit to follow one’s own conscience. Haydn’s Symphony No. 85, La Reine, a beautiful and graceful work, is one of Haydn’s Paris symphonies. Finally, PMC also presents a commissioned work by the concerto competition winner at CU Boulder, Elena Specht and Dance Card, a work comprised of robust dances, by Jennifer Higdon.
