Kol Nashim, the Women’s Choir of the Colorado Hebrew Chorale announces a new, free monthly series entitled “Marvelous Musical Men” featuring some important men of Israeli music and the music they created. The first session will focus on Arik Einstein (1939-2019), one of Israel’s most beloved singers.  He was also an actor, poet and collaborator par excellence. More than any other musician, Einstein provided Israelis of all walks of life a sound-track to their lives, and continues to provide this after his death. Over the course of his 55 year career he released many songs that became beloved Israeli classics.  In 2012 he was voted Best Israeli Singer of All Time. He was eulogized by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who declared that “his voice was said to be “the land of Israel that is beautiful, true and pure.”

Participants will learn sections of songs and will see YouTube performances during the presentation.
