St. Martin’s Chamber Choir presents “Mozart Requiem a la Czerny”

The great Romantic era Czech pianist and composer Carl Czerny (1791-1857, a student of Beethoven and teacher of Liszt) made a reputedly difficult 4-hand piano arrangement of the Mozart Requiem that had been lost for almost 200 years. This manuscript was recently rediscovered in Slovakia, and will receive its Denver area premiere by twelve select St. Martin’s singers and soloists, and two pianists, Tamara Goldstein, head of piano studies at Metropolitan State University of Denver, and Mutsumi Moteki, member of the piano faculty at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
