Leah Peer, Kol Nashim’s music director, hosts “Text & Context” on Sunday night, Apr. 2, 2023, 7-8 pm MDT on Zoom.   The topic is Lea Goldberg’s poignant poem, Veshuv (“And Again”). Written when the poet was in her late teens, the text depicts the anguish of unsuccessful relationships. Veshuv was set for Kol Nashim by Nili Abrahamsson, and premiered at Raisins & Almonds on Feb. 5, 2023.  Nili will be guest presenter and she and Leah and Nili will also examine the musical and poetic choices made by the composer.
